Now you have to know everything. Trade groups help us keep up-to-date in our field and may provide some business services.
But most of us don’t have the experience, training, or support to run a successful business in these times. In fact, it’s common for owners to feel that they aren’t running their business – their business is running them.
The sources of pain are many.
- Owners have to be front-line employees, managers, & long-term business strategists – usually at the same time.
- Family/Partner issues can suck the life out of you.
- Today’s performance drivers look nothing like those of 1975.
- The business environment is faster, more complex, and less forgiving.
- It has never been more competitive.
- It seems like the only constant is change.
The fact is that it has never been more difficult to run a successful business on your own.
